Volunteer Opportunities – Creative Programme Leads & Facilitator Coordinators

Organisation: Minds to Media

Join Minds to Media to inspire young people through creativity. Lead and deliver workshops in music, film, fashion, and art, supporting skill development, wellbeing, and self-expression. The Creative Facilitator Coordinator will recruit, schedule, and support facilitators and mentors to ensure smooth, impactful programme delivery. Minds to Media is seeking passionate volunteers to lead and support our creative programmes, empowering young people through music, film, fashion, art, and wellbeing.

Available Roles:

  • Music Programme Lead: Deliver music production workshops, artist development, and studio sessions.
  • Film & Media Programme Lead: Lead filmmaking, photography, editing, and storytelling projects.
  • Fashion & Design Programme Lead: Run fashion workshops, garment creation, and exhibitions.
  • Art & Wellbeing Programme Lead: Facilitate visual art, therapeutic creative sessions, and expression-based projects.
  • Creative Facilitator Coordinator: Recruit, schedule, and support facilitators and mentors across all creative programmes.

What skills do I need?

Skills required for the volunteer post

Music Programme Lead – Skills Required:

  • Experience in music production, recording, or sound engineering
  • Ability to deliver music workshops and mentor emerging artists
  • Confident supporting song writing, performance, and artist development
  • Knowledge of studio equipment, DAWs, and safe studio practice
  • Strong communication, planning, and facilitation skills

Film & Media Programme Lead – Skills Required

  • Experience in filmmaking, photography, or digital media
  • Skills in editing software and visual storytelling
  • Ability to lead hands-on media workshops and creative projects
  • Experience mentoring participants from concept to final output
  • Strong organisation, collaboration, and communication skills

Fashion & Design Programme Lead – Skills Required

  • Background in fashion design, garment construction, or textiles
  • Experience delivering fashion or design-based workshops
  • Practical skills in sewing, pattern cutting, and creative processes
  • Ability to guide participants from idea to finished work
  • Strong creative leadership and mentoring skills

Art & Wellbeing Programme Lead – Skills Required

  • Experience in visual arts and creative facilitation
  • Understanding of art as a tool for wellbeing and self-expression
  • Ability to create safe, inclusive, and supportive environments
  • Strong empathy, emotional awareness, and listening skills
  • Experience delivering expression-based creative sessions

Creative Facilitator Coordinator – Skills Required

  • Strong coordination, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Experience recruiting, supporting, and managing facilitators
  • Ability to schedule programmes and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and best practice
