Volunteer Fundraising Officer (UK)

NaariSamata

As a Volunteer Fundraising Officer, you will support NaariSamata (NaSa) to secure funding that enables our work with women and children in underserved communities in the UK and India. This role is ideal for someone who is interested in charity fundraising and would like to build experience while contributing to a values-driven, volunteer-led organisation.

You will work closely with the Founder and wider volunteer team to research funding opportunities, support the development of grant applications, and help strengthen our fundraising approaches in line with our size, capacity, and mission.

Your contribution will directly support the delivery and sustainability of NaariSamata’s programmes, helping ensure that resources reach those who need them most.

What skills do I need?

  • Have an interest in charity fundraising and the voluntary sector, or are keen to learn more
  • Enjoy research, writing, and developing clear, compelling cases for support
  • Are organised and able to manage tasks independently with guidance where needed
  • Communicate clearly and work well in a collaborative, volunteer-led environment
  • Share a genuine commitment to supporting women and children in underserved communities
  • Are thoughtful, reliable, and motivated by social impact rather than financial reward
  • Previous fundraising experience is welcome but not essential. Transferable skills from other roles or sectors are valued, and training and support will be provided where possible.
