Volunteer Cafe Helper

The cafe provides a selection of fresh, local food and drink at reasonable prices.

Friends cafe is run by volunteers and al proceeds from the cafe go towards purchasing equipment for the hospital to enhance patient and staff experience. Some of our recent purchases have included equipment for the physio department, and rise and recliner chairs for the older persons ward to enable them to mobilise more safely during their stay.

The role at the Friends cafe is also flexible to suit you. 

What skills do I need?

• A passion for helping people
• Basic reading and writing skills in English
• Basic ability to work in a team

When do I need to be available?

Details

The cafe is currently open between 9am and 4pm, which volunteers onsite from 8am to 4:30pm. We do not have set volunteer shifts at the Friends cafe, we can be flexible around your availability. We do however ask for continuity with your availability.
