Ukrainian Community Volunteer (Champion)

The purpose of the Network Project:

·       Facilitating the successful settlement and integration of Ukrainian refugees in Ealing.

·       Creating productive interactions between the Ukrainian community of Ealing and organisations that can help solve resettled Ukrainians' various needs and problems.

Community Champions are generally people with life experience in the community they represent. They're likely to have good social networks in the area and can tap into these connections to improve services and address barriers.

Main purpose of the Voluntary role

Assist EHCVS staff with general duties, as well as support and develop the Ealing Ukrainian Infrastructure Network.

 General Responsibilities

• Supporting the day-to-day running of the Ukrainian Network by preparing meetings and events
• Making links with existing groups and networks that may want to be involved including professional organisations
• Help identify community issues and find solutions
• Translation of materials and interpretation during online and offline meetings (English, Ukrainian)
• Conducting conversation sessions (English, Ukrainian)
• Maintaining social networks and groups, writing publications, creating promotional materials, and supporting activity)
• Organization and holding of art-related events (drawing, theatre, singing, music, etc.)

Training and Support

We will provide all the necessary training. Training will be provided on an ongoing basis, and volunteers should be given a full induction of the organisation and how the projects run.

Expenses

Out-of-pocket and travel expenses will be reimbursed as agreed upon commencement.
