Technical & Backstage Support

As a Volunteer Technical and Backstage Support member at The Arts Centre, Hounslow, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of technical aspects and backstage activities during various performances, exhibitions, and events hosted by The Arts Centre. Your assistance will contribute directly to the success of productions and enhance the overall experience for performers, crew, and audience members.

With Volunteer Coffee Mornings and other voluntary roles such as Ushering, Bar & Cafe Support, and lots more being part of The Arts Centre's broad volunteering program will be an enriching experience. 

What skills do I need?

Previous experience in technical theatre, stage management, or related fields is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.

Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding safety standards in backstage environments.

Flexibility to volunteer evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays as needed for productions and events.

Details

Technical & Backstage Support shifts for our volunteers will be dependent on our external bookings. Once you've completed a training session you'll be added to our mailing list and updated when shifts become available.
